I founded Kohler Law Group over 20 years ago and my firm has represented 1000’s of venture-backed and publicly traded technology companies worldwide. In addition to being involved in the legal field I have real-world business experience as a successful entrepreneur and have founded and sold several technology companies.

My primary residence is in San Francisco and for the occasional getaway I go to my second home in Santa Barbara. During the winter, you’ll catch me skiing and boarding in Tahoe and this summer you’ll find me mountain biking, rock climbing, wind surfing, wine tasting, and sailing.
I’ve been involved in a number of companies: notably in 2005, I co-founded Castfire – a video publishing platform for clients such as Google/Next New Networks, CBS Interactive, ESPN/Disney, Comcast, CNET, PBS and NPR stations, and hundreds more – that was acquired by Alphabird a few years back in ’12.
